‘A great player: Christian Pulisic overjoyed for his Chelsea teammate following yesterday’s win against Leeds
Christian Pulisic was clearly buzzing for Romelu Lukaku after the Chelsea duo both go on the score sheet against Leeds United last night.
Speaking to the club media following yesterday’s 3-0 victory, Pulisic expressed his delight towards the Belgian’s contribution in the past few matches.
Romelu is moving in the right direction
Lukaku was on target again at Elland Road, having hit Wolverhampton Wanderers twice the previous Saturday.
Leeds allowed him to take his tally for the season up to 15th, making the striker the front runner for Chelsea’s Golden Boot award.
His finish against Leeds certainly gave the impression of a player full of confidence right now, something not often said about the centre-forward throughout the campaign.

He looked alive to pretty much every situation that came in his direction, helped by the fact Thomas Tuchel’s men actually played to their teammate’s strengths.
Balls were constantly being sent in behind for Lukaku to run onto, or fizzed into his feet to hold up or link play.
After coming close on several occasions, the number nine finally found his range with seven minutes of the fixture remaining.
Pulisic buzzing for Lukaku
Ruben Loftus-Cheek led a swift break downfield, flanked by Hakim Ziyech, whose eventual cross located Lukaku’s feet.
Having decided not to shoot first time, it appeared the chance had gone.
But the attacker steadied himself, shifted into a better position and then slammed it past Illan Meslier.
“It is what Rom does, he scores goals,” said Pulisic in response to Lukaku’s goal.
“He’s a great player and it is good to see him in form now.”
Pulisic hasn’t done too badly for himself either recently.
The American finished off a slick move with a slick finish against Leeds, his 8th of what’s been a pretty disrupted term.
It was his assist that set up Lukaku’s second against Wolves, after he grabbed the winner against West Ham United in the previous contest at Stamford Bridge.
The other third of Tuchel’s front trio also got involved last night.
Mason Mount was easily the man of the match, behind pretty much everything that went well for the Blues.
He scored the first of the evening in scintillating fashion, before turning provider for Pulisic.
These two, plus Lukaku, have certainly put themselves in a good position to be picked for the FA Cup final on Saturday.
