Alex Iwobi believes Napoli striker Victor Osimhen has a huge future ahead of him and wants to play in the Premier League.
Victor Osimhen, who’s one of Europe’s most in-form strikers right now, is having the time of his life in Naples.
The centre-forward has scored 25 goals in 29 games across all competitions this season for a Napoli side that are cruising towards the Serie A title. In addition, they’re hunting European glory and have reached the Champions League quarter-finals.
It’s no real surprise Chelsea, who desperately need a striker, are linked with the Nigerian goal machine.
Calciomercato claimed this week that Chelsea are ready to go crazy with a huge move to get Osimhen.

Everton midfielder Iwobi, who plays alongside Osimhen with Nigeria, has raved about his international teammate:
“There was that element where people say he’s a bit rash [in front of goal] and he needs to compose himself, but he’s always getting there and he won’t stop. He’s someone I respect. There is so much more to come from him,” Iwobi told The Beautiful Game podcast.
“I’m sure he probably has that ambition and dream to play in the Prem.”

Osimhen does look tailor-made for the Premier League, so we can definitely see him ending up in England like Iwobi predicts.
He’s a forward with fantastic physical attributes with his strength and speed. The African star is now becoming a clinical finisher, too.
Napoli have played some of the most eye-catching football across the whole of Europe so far this season, with their central striker helping to knit the attack together.
It feels like Chelsea are going to continue trailing the top teams in the country without that prolific attacker at the top end of the pitch. We would absolutely love if Osimhen could be the club’s marquee summer signing.
