Joao Felix has claimed in his first interview with Chelsea that he is already a massive fan of defender Reece James after meeting him before.
The Blues today announced the signing of the Portugal international on a loan deal until the end of the season, strengthening their options at the top end of the pitch.
There is currently no option in the deal to extend his spell in London to beyond the summer.

This means that the 23-year-old will need to form relationships quickly with his new teammates in order for the Blues to get the most out of the highly-rated star.
He may find it easier to get things going with one player though. Felix has claimed that he already has a good relationship with James.
He said: “I met one time Reece James when I was in London. Amazing guy.”
James will almost certainly be a starter alongside Felix for every game he is fit for, given how much of an importance he has obviously had this season.
When fit, the England international has had arguably his most impressive displays in terms of defensively, whilst still holding the same attacking threat.
He was cruelly ruled out of the World Cup through injury, although was able to return for the first domestic game after Christmas against Bournemouhth.

However, moments after half-time he was forced off, with him yet to be seen since in a Chelsea shirt.
Felix will unlikely be available for the London derby against Fulham tomorrow, meaning Graham Potter will have the same depleted and underperforming squad to choose from in the West London derby.
It’s so far unclear where exactly he’ll feature, and he’s by no means not an outright striker. However, the creativity issues that have reigned supreme at Stamford Bridge are certain to be addressed, as Chelsea chase a respectable finish to the season.
