Christian Pulisic thinks Chelsea’s new midfield of Enzo Fernandez and Mateo Kovacic is really starting to click.
Fernandez, who was a huge £106.8million signing for Chelsea in January, has made a really positive start to his Blues career.
The 22-year-old midfielder has quickly established himself as a key starter in Graham Potter’s line-up, taking no time to settle in a new country and a new league.
His recent success has been alongside £40million teammate Kovacic in the centre of the park.
The Fernandez-Kovacic midfield pivot started the previous four games before the international break, winning three of them.

Pulisic has explained that Chelsea’s large squad is now starting to gel together after more time on the training pitch.
In particular, he highlights the new-look central midfield.
“We have so many players in the squad and I think we are developing, you can see it on the pitch. Enzo and [Mateo] Kovacic, playing so well together. It is starting to click. We still have a long way to go but you can see the improvement,” Pulisic said, as quoted by the club’s official website.

It’s been great to see some kind of consistency in the starting XI’s recently, with Graham Potter beginning to work out his preferred team.
There is definitely a lot to love about a combination of Fernandez and Kovacic, who are both technically gifted players that are comfortable in possession anywhere on the pitch.
Chelsea will soon have N’Golo Kante to throw into the mix as well, though.
Kante’s hasn’t played since mid-August due to injury, but was an unused substitute against Everton last weekend.
Potter has claimed the 31-year-old midfielder could play a behind closed doors friendly during the international break to help regain his fitness.
