Arsenal’s Declan Rice has given a very interesting one-word answer when asked to describe Chelsea’s Levi Colwill.
The two Premier League stars are currently away on international duty with England, drawing 1-1 against Ukraine over the weekend. Next, there’s a friendly on Tuesday evening against rivals Scotland.
When asked to describe Levi Colwill, Rice said: “Composed.”
Colwill, who’s just 20, is currently waiting to make his senior England debut. Hopefully, that comes tomorrow night in a friendly match versus Scotland.
The young centre-back is new into the Three Lions senior squad and Rice’s comment on him should be music to his ears.
In fairness, Colwill’s shown during the past year at Premier League level that he oozes confidence and quality with the ball at his feet. He was part of the Young Lions side to win the Under-21s European Championship in the summer, too.
The left-footed defender is starting to nail down a spot in Mauricio Pochettino’s starting Chelsea line-up. Can he force his way into Gareth Southgate’s England side next?
You will see most modern day centre-halves very capable when it comes to playing out from the back. There’s something special about Colwill’s range of passing, though.
