Mikel Arteta has been speaking about Kai Havertz as the German continues to struggle at Arsenal after leaving Chelsea.
The Gunners signed the 24-year-old from Chelsea in a £65m deal back in June.
So, what did Mikel Arteta say about Kai Havertz? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, Chelsea fans warned Arsenal supporters not to expect much from the Germany international, and while there is still plenty of time for him to improve, they were correct – as things stand.
Havertz has failed to score a goal or provide an assist in four appearances for Arsenal heading into today’s encounter with Manchester United.
The Arsenal No.29 has also missed a few glorious opportunities in those outings, something that became a common occurrence during his time at Stamford Bridge.
Nevertheless, Arteta is backing Havertz to shine.
The Spaniard told Sky Sports: “Give him love. Give him support, because we’re gonna get the best out of him. We see his qualities every single day.”

Chelsea fans gave Havertz a lot of patience, and while there was flashes of his obvious talent, that patience never really paid off.
Chelsea must be delighted Arsenal gave them £65m for Havertz
In what was a very busy summer for Chelsea as far as outgoings are concerned, there was no better sale than Havertz to Arsenal.
The Blues only took a £6m loss on the German – who they paid £71m to sign from Bayer Leverkusen on this day in 2020 – and he won Chelsea a UEFA Champions League title with his goal against Manchester City in 2021.

That alone makes Havertz’s struggles worth it for most Chelsea fans, and he will have to do something special at the Emirates Stadium soon as fans begin to grow impatient.
Hopefully, the Arsenal new boy can start to find his feet soon – just not in the two games against Chelsea this season!
