Manchester City’s Kyle Walker is blown away by the individual quality of fellow right-back Reece James at Chelsea.

Walker and James, who play for two Premier League rivals, are teammates at international level with England.

The aforementioned duo, along with Kieran Trippier and Trent Alexander-Arnold, make up an outrageously talented list of full-backs that England can pick to play on the right of defence.

It’s worrying heading into the World Cup that Walker, James and Alexander-Arnold are all currently sidelined through injuries.

£50million Man City star Walker is a massive fan of his Chelsea counterpart, who he thinks has so much potential in the future.

When asked how good James is on BBC Radio 5 Live, Walker responded “Unbelievable. He is unbelievable. Just his personality and how he conducts himself around the place as well.

Walker later added: “The sky’s the limit for him. I think we can see that with what he has achieved so far in his career, and he is only young.”

The Daily Mail claimed in May that Man City were targeting James as a long-term replacement for Walker at the Etihad Stadium.

Thankfully, Chelsea’s dynamic wing-back penned a new six-year contract at Stamford Bridge last month.

A potential club captain in the future, James is just getting better and better with every game.

There is so much he brings to the XI in both an offensive and defensive sense, which is why every supporter will be praying for good news when it comes to his injury scan.
