Callum Hudson-Odoi has praised young Chelsea teammate Lewis Hall for his “confident” display in Saturday’s 5-1 FA Cup third-round win over Chesterfield.

Hall, who was also named Chelsea fans’ man of the match, stole the limelight on his debut for the club and deservedly so.

The 17-year-old did impressively well despite playing out of position and was also involved in the build-up to some of the goals, including one assist.

According to Hudson-Odoi, the rest of his teammates also noticed how confident Hall was during the game, which only helped the teenager adjust.

RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.

“He was amazing,” the winger told beIN SPORTS about Hall’s performance.

“I said to him throughout the whole game, ‘Just keep playing the way you’re playing.’

“I think everybody spotted it early how he was confident on the ball, he was driving with the ball, and defensively, he was solid as well.

“I’m really happy for him. Hopefully, he keeps going and keeps developing.”

Hall completed two dribbles in the game, as well as eight of his 10 long ball attempts.

Chelsea manager Tuchel insisted that Hall still has a lot to learn, but his comments also suggested that he believes Hall fully deserved his first-team opportunity.
