Raheem Sterling is disappointed with how his debut season in Chelsea colours is going.
With just six games left in the campaign, Chelsea find themselves trophyless and no longer in the hunt for any silverware. Also, they’re 11th in the Premier League table and this losing streak means they could keep sliding further down.
Raheem Sterling, who joined the Blues last summer for £50million (BBC), will have become used to winning every year at previous club Manchester City.
The 28-year-old winger started well in the opening months of his Chelsea career, but it’s petered out into an underwhelming campaign from him.
His return of seven goals in 33 games does make him the team’s second highest scorer this season, though.

Speaking about Chelsea’s poor 2022/23 campaign, Sterling admits he’s one of the players that has underperformed.
The England international has criticised his own displays across the past nine months, but he’s promised to bounce back next season.
“Performances haven’t been at the level they should, mine included. I haven’t been anywhere near my usual level,” Sterling told The Sun.
“… This season has been nowhere near what I expect from myself. I know for sure I will improve and get back to the level I am capable of.”

Sterling should see these final six games of the season as a chance to try build some momentum ahead of next year.
We want to see Frank Lampard use him in his preferred wide roles in the fixtures ahead.
Unlike most in the Chelsea squad, Sterling has shown he can score Premier League goals at a great rate. Hopefully, he can rediscover some of his best form in royal blue.
