Kepa Arrizabalaga has revealed he would love Real Madrid to sign him on a permanent basis when his loan spell from Chelsea expires.
The Spain international made the comments when speaking at his official presentation inside the Santiago Bernabeu.
So, what did Kepa Arrizabalaga say about Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the 28-year-old surprisingly secured a loan move to Real Madrid after Thibaut Courtois suffered a serious knee injury.
Chelsea were happy to let Kepa team up with Carlo Ancelotti in Spain after signing Robert Sanchez in a £25m deal from Brighton.
Now – however – Chelsea fans may never see the Spaniard at Stamford Bridge again, after he admitted he would love to stay at Real Madrid beyond the 2023/24 campaign.

As quoted by Fabrizio Romano, Kepa said: “I hope that with my performances Real Madrid will decide to keep me after the loan. This club is legendary.”
The £71m man was already quite unpopular amongst Chelsea fans after years of underwhelming performances, and we expect his popularity to drop even more after supporters read these comments.
Chelsea will hope Kepa does well at Real Madrid too
Kepa is not the only one who will hope things go well at Real Madrid – to say the least.
According to Nizaar Kinsella of the Evening Standard, Chelsea have been trying to sell the Ondarroa-born glovesman for ages now, but no side have been able to afford him and his £190,000-a-week wages.

The Guardian add that Chelsea wanted to sell Kepa this summer and invest heavily on a new standout goalkeeper, although nobody expressed an interest in his services.
Now – however – as a result of Courtois getting injured, an opportunity has opened up for Kepa, one he clearly wants to grab with both hands, and one Chelsea will hope he takes as well.
