Mason Mount has stated he believes talks over a new contract at Chelsea are expected in the next two months.
He told Sky Sports that he is excited about his future at Stamford Bridge, having been with the club for 17 years.

The England international’s contract situation has been a talking point in recent weeks, with the midfielder, alongside Reece James, being on the lower end of the club’s pay scale.
This is despite their importance to the team, with them being vital to Thomas Tuchel’s team despite their young age.
The potential for a swoop for the undervalued star didn’t go unnoticed among Europe’s top teams, with Manchester United particularly considering tabling a bid for the extraordinary move.

Mount excited about Chelsea future
However, Mount has claimed he sees his future in West London, expecting discussions over a new deal to begin soon.
He said: “I’ve obviously got two years left, but I’m extremely happy at his club. I’ve been here since I was six years old. So I think maybe over the next couple of months the talks will start, so obviously it’s exciting.”
Despite notable heartbreak at Wembley last season, the campaign proved to be Mount’s best yet, ending as the club’s top scorer and assister in the Premier League.
He will be hoping for help in both those categories this time around, as he prepares to welcome England teammate Raheem Sterling to the club, with his transfer expected to be announced imminently.

The 27-year-old is a member of the Premier League’s illustrious ‘100 club’, and has proven his worth as a regular goalscorer at Manchester City over the past few years.
Having already featured together multiple times for their country, the Stamford Bridge faithful will be hopeful the pair can strike up an immediate relationship on the pitch this season.
