'They don't know you': Ben Chilwell says 21-year-old Chelsea youngster is even faster than Raheem Sterling

Ben Chilwell has said that Chelsea’s youngster Armando Broja is even faster than teammate Raheem Sterling.

The Blues are blessed with some speed machines in their squad, especially when you look at the new signings to arrive at Stamford Bridge during the summer transfer window.

For certain, it’s a massive help with the pace of the Premier League to have several quick individuals.

Broja faster than Sterling

When looking at some of Chelsea’s player ratings on the new FIFA 23 game, Broja insisted he was quicker than Sterling.

Surprisingly, Blues defender Chilwell agreed with the 21-year-old, suggesting that his pace is underrated.

“‘I’m quicker than Raheem!” Broja said.

Chilwell replied to him: “You probably are you know. You’re probably the quickest in the team. They don’t know about you yet, bro.”

It’s quite the statement to say that Broja, 21, may be the best in a footrace across the entire Chelsea squad.

The centre-forward is a massive bundle of energy when he’s on the pitch, something defenders must hate. In fairness, he covers so much ground when he sprints down the channels.

Chelsea and England winger Sterling, 27, takes some beating when it comes to out-and-out pace, though. It’s worth looking at defenders Kalidou Koulibaly and Wesley Fofana in this particular department, too.

Let him loose

It would be great to see Broja get his first start in Chelsea colours on Saturday during the Premier League trip to Crystal Palace.

Journalist Simon Phillips has said the 21-year-old is expected to start tomorrow against Palace.

He’s a young and hungry centre-forward that can bring an extra spark to the Blues line-up. Chelsea supporters are desperate to see him get a starting role after several eye-catching contributions off the bench this season, too.

Broja can bring a fearlessness to the XI that can definitely lift teammates around him, so he’s deserving of an opportunity on the weekend.
