Newcastle United’s Callum Wilson has praised the quality of Chelsea and England star Reece James.
James, whose stock is continuing to rise, is regarded as one of the best full-backs in the business right now.
The 22-year-old is a real specialist when it comes to playing as a right wing-back, but his versatility means you could trust him in a back three or as a conventional right-back.
He’s played every minute of England’s last four games going into the World Cup, so you’d have to say he’s in pole position to be in Gareth Southgate’s XI at the major international tournament.

Callum Wilson praised Reece James
Newcastle striker Wilson, 30, has described Chelsea’s defensive talent as “unbelievable”:
“I think Reece James looks more robust [than Trent Alexander-Arnold], should I say, but I’ve never trained with him or played with him,” Wilson said.
“I can only comment on what I’ve seen… I’ve seen Reece James and he’s scored some unbelievable goals against us. He’s an unbelievable right-back as well.”

Jason Cundy recently described James as Chelsea’s best player by a distance at the start of the season, which gives an idea of how comfortable he is with his game right now.
James is an all-action defender that’s at the heart of most things Chelsea do, whether that be going forward or defensively.
It’ll be a major surprise if he doesn’t become an instant favourite under Graham Potter, who will be looking to find out his preferred line-up at Stamford Bridge.
His England performances are strong without setting the world alight like he can, but it’s a national side that are struggling lately as a collective unit to click into top gear.
