Graham Potter was seemingly not in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s good books last night.
Simon Phillips was at Stamford Bridge to witness Chelsea and Manchester City’s encounter and spotted the unpleasant interaction between player and manager.
Aubameyang apparently ‘barely acknowledged’ Potter as he was substituted off with just under 20-minutes of the tie remaining.
The striker seemingly shook his head ‘in disgust’ towards the decision, largely because he had already been subbed on early in the game.

He came off the bench nearly immediately at the beginning of the tie, due to Raheem Sterling’s early exit through injury.
But Sterling’s replacement suffered one of the worst wounds in football.
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s misery against Manchester City
Potter removed Aubameyang in the second-half, therefore subbing the sub.
Omari Hutchison took the place of the burnt forward, who clearly fired fiery feelings towards his coach.
It was arguably the lowest point of the 33-year-old’s Chelsea career since moving from Barcelona for £10m in the summer.
His time in South West London has not exactly been filled with marvellous moments, but that was up there with the worst.

Failing to score in nearly three months certainly comes a close second.
Chelsea just cannot score
Missing the target has been a problem in general for Potter’s side, an issue demonstrated again yesterday.
Chelsea managed to test Ederson just twice on Thursday, but did come close to taking the lead on a few occasions.
Carney Chukwuemeka almost concluded an excellent evening with his first goal for the club, yet the post denied the teenager’s low strike.
At the other end of the age scale, Thiago Silva smashed his shot just wide of the woodwork from close range in the second-half.

This inability to ripple the net eventually came back to bite the Blues, as Riyad Mahrez converted just past the hour mark to hand City the victory.
Hopefully Potter’s side can find their shooting boots for the subsequent FA Cup meeting with Pep Guardiola’s men in a few days.
