Tony Cascarino proposed the idea of Liverpool landing Thiago Silva should Chelsea let him go at the end of the term.
Speaking on talkSPORT, Cascarino said he would happily sign the centre-back if he was the coach at Anfield.
Silva once again shone in Graham Potter’s side on Merseyside yesterday, adding genuine quality to a contest that lacked such skill.
The Brazilian delivered a typical cool, calm and collected display that prevented Liverpool from rippling the net.

Jurgen Klopp’s attackers constantly found themselves thwarted by Chelsea’s defiant defender, who shows no signs of slowing down despite his age.
“He was outstanding again for Chelsea. He’s got the (Paulo) Maldini in him, play until (he’s) 40 quite comfortably,” said the former Blue Cascarino.
It’s extremely probable that Silva will continue for another few years, but where he will be playing his football is another matter.
Chelsea extended his contract by another 12-months last January, a deal that is set to expire in the summer.

Thiago Silva helped Chelsea to quell Liverpool
Graham Potter will understandably be eager to keep the seasoned campaigner on board for at least another term.
Yet, if the club do decide to release their number six, finding a new home shouldn’t be hard to come by.
“If Chelsea don’t offer him a contract to him at the end of the season, there’s plenty that would, without a doubt, because I would if I was in a management,” continued Cascarino.
“Would you have him at Liverpool?” asked Natalie Sawyer.
“Yeah, if I could get him for nothing and get him in. He’s a fabulous footballer, he’s so composed. Rarely gets in trouble,” replied Cascarino.
Klopp could certainly do with a player of Silva in his back-line.

Virgil Van Dijk’s injury earlier this month means the Reds have been without their key defensive force for several weeks.
In this period, they’ve kept two clean sheets and conceded eight goals.
What a difference Silva could’ve made to Liverpool’s defence.
