Cesc Fabregas has commented on referee Anthony Taylor’s controversial decision during Sunday’s 2-2 draw between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur at Stamford Bridge.
The Blues dominated the possession of the ball throughout the game, but Spurs secured a point thanks to Harry Kane’s late equaliser.
While the touchline arguments between Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte will surely grab the headlines, there were also a couple of controversial refereeing decisions during the game.
The most obvious one is the potential foul on Kai Havertz by Rodrigo Bentancur just prior to Pierre-Emile Hojberg’s equaliser.
Referee Taylor decided that the goal stood, but Fabregas clearly did not think so.

“Foul on Kai plus offside from Richarlison,” the former Spain international wrote on Twitter about Spurs’ first goal.
“Shocking.”
Many Chelsea fans would also agree that Richarlison, while inactive in an offside position, still influenced the play by obstructing Edouard Mendy’s view of the ball.
There was also Cristian Romero’s pulling Marc Cucurella by the hair seconds before Kane scored his late goal.
The incident was checked by VAR, but Tottenham were allowed to continue to take a corner kick which led to the decisive goal despite the obvious foul.
Obviously, Chelsea also could have done a lot better considering how comfortable they were in the game. Tuchel’s men had several chances to put the game to bed but failed to do so.
