Gabby Agbonlahor says Chelsea player is ‘sulking’ when he comes off

Gabby Agbonlahor has claimed that Chelsea’s Hakim Ziyech has been “sulking” recently.

Ziyech, who enjoyed a great World Cup with fourth-placed Morocco, has returned to Chelsea at a time when the team are really struggling.

The £33million winger started back-to-back games in defeats against Manchester City last week, with Graham Potter giving him minutes off the back of an eye-catching World Cup tournament.

However, Ziyech, along with all of Chelsea’s attackers, can’t find any kind of spark in front of goal.

The Chelsea Chronicle has included the 29-year-old in the predicted line-up to face Fulham tomorrow in the Premier League, which would be yet another chance for him to try turn his Blues career around.

Agbonlahor criticises Ziyech

TalkSPORT pundit Agbonlahor has singled out Ziyech as an individual that looks miserable since the World Cup break and visibly upset when he gets taken off in Chelsea games.

“Some of them turn up one week and then don’t turn up for three weeks. Ziyech, we saw it for Morocco at the World Cup, outstanding. He comes back to Chelsea, and it’s someone else’s fault when he’s not performing… He’s sulking when he comes off,” Agbonlahor told talkSPORT.

Ziyech’s Chelsea career so far has never seen him recapture his Ajax form, and he must be as frustrated as anyone about that.

The right-winger has practically got a free run in the side right now due to a pile up of injuries.

If he’s to somehow perform a U-turn at Stamford Bridge, it simply has to be in the next couple of weeks.

There’s no doubt he looked much happier at the World Cup representing Morocco, but he’s got a job to do while he’s still a Chelsea player.
