Gary Neville reacted very positively after watching the Mykhailo Mudryk debut in Chelsea’s draw against Liverpool this weekend.

The Blues recorded a 0-0 draw at Anfield on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League, but there were some real bright sparks from the result.

Most notably, Mudryk captured the imagination of the Chelsea fans with an eye-catching debut.

The 22-year-old attacker couldn’t find a winning goal in the second-half, but he tormented the Liverpool backline on a few occasions with his directness and speed.

Hopefully, it’s a sign of more to come from the new signing.

Mykhailo Mudryk debut

Gary Neville reacted to Mudryk’s first appearance in English football by suggesting he would be a nightmare opponent:

“Seeing Mudryk for 10 mins I wouldn’t like to play against him!” Neville wrote on Twitter.

Mudryk came off the bench in the 55th minute to try inject something into Chelsea’s forward line, something that he did.

The left-winger couldn’t find the end product to mark the dream debut performance, but there’s plenty to look forward to when you think about his career at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea clearly haven’t scored enough goals this season, netting just 22 times in 20 league games now.

It does feel like some of the new January recruits can boost Potter’s line-up when they attack, though.

The early signs are that Mudryk could be a real threat to Premier League full-backs following his arrival from Shakhtar Donetsk, but there’s now a lot of expectation on the Ukraine international.
