Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink rates Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson as a really complete player that can be a big hit at Stamford Bridge.

Nicolas Jackson, who’s just 22, signed for Chelsea earlier in the summer transfer window.

The Blues paid £32million (Daily Mail) for the Senegalese centre-forward, who’s currently leading the line as the club’s first-choice No 9.

He’s yet to score in the opening two games of the Premier League campaign despite some very lively moments. He was excellent during the club’s pre-season tour, too.

Hasselbaink has delivered a glowing assessment when discussing Chelsea’s Jackson.

“I think Jackson has got all the credentials to succeed,” Hasselbaink told LiveScore.

“He was really good in pre-season, taking his chances. He’s got a bit of everything.

“Jackson is strong, quick and looks like he is not scared of the challenge — and that last one is a very good asset to have!”

Hopefully, Chelsea’s forward line can find their shooting boots in the three final matches before the international break.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side are at home three times, including against Luton Town and Nottingham Forest in the league. They welcome AFC Wimbledon in the Carabao Cup second round, too.

It feels imperative that Jackson gets off the mark with a goal in this mini run ahead!

His pace, movement and energy has really impressed so far. However, he’ll be judged on his goal output in a squad that still looks short of goals.

Jamie Redknapp told Sky Sports at the weekend that Jackson should’ve taken the penalty against West Ham that Enzo Fernandez missed. We agree that it would be great to get the striker on penalty duty.
