Micah Richards delivered his seal of approval to Sofyan Amrabat following his wonderful World Cup adventure.
Speaking on the BBC, Richards highlighted the reasons why Chelsea and several Premier League clubs are reportedly chasing after the Moroccan international.
Amrabat was a standout figure at the heart of his nation’s incredible journey to the third-place playoff fixture in Qatar.
His ability to shield Morocco’s defence meant the side only conceded once before losing 2-0 to France in the semi-final.

Didier Deschamps’ men may have progressed to the final, but their African opponents certainly left a mark on the reigning champions.
None more so than Amrabat, who battled his way through the contest with real quality.

The 26-year-old’s thundering challenge on Kylian Mbappe was a moment that captured the commitment of this overachieving Morocco squad.
“It was the epitome of this team, brilliant,” remarked Richards on the tackle that left Mbappe strewn across the surface.
“He’s been outstanding, not just off the ball, on the ball, dictating play, starting attacks from midfield. Great,” continued the former Manchester City defender in his appraisal of Amrabat.
His performances on the global stage have seemingly attracted the attentions of those stationed in Europe.

Chelsea are one of the English clubs reportedly interested in the Fiorentina midfielder, along with West Ham United, Liverpool, Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United.
Graham Potter could do with a player in Amrabat’s position, especially now N’Golo Kante is coming to the end of his tether.
Signing a World Cup semi-finalist wouldn’t look too bad on the record books.
