Dean Saunders has raised serious question marks over Chelsea star Thiago Silva as well as his teammate Kalidou Koulibaly.
When discussing Chelsea’s current defensive options at Stamford Bridge, talkSPORT pundit Saunders highlighted a worry over two senior centre-backs.
He told talkSPORT: “They’re not good enough [the centre-backs]. Koulibaly’s not good enough. Silva, his legs have nearly gone.”

We’re a little in shock to hear suggestions that Thiago Silva isn’t good enough for Chelsea any longer.
The 38-year-old recently picked up Chelsea’s player of the year award for the 2022/23 season, winning both the fan and player votes.
Yes, he’s a veteran centre-half that can’t go on forever. However, the £110,000-a-week Brazilian has star proven yet again this campaign he can still perform at the highest level.
We expect new manager Mauricio Pochettino will need to be extra careful with his minutes next season, but it doesn’t look like his legs have gone quite yet.
In fact, Silva has claimed he wants to spend at least another two years at Stamford Bridge.

As for Kalidou Koulibaly, he’s not had a 2022/23 season to remember.
The 31-year-old defender arrived at Stamford Bridge last summer from Napoli with such a fantastic reputation, but his debut year in England has been a struggle.
We’ve seen mistakes and uncertainty in his defending, so there should be tougher questions asked of him than Silva.
Let’s see if Koulibaly can respond and get back to his best next season, though.
