BBC pundit Stephen Warnock praised Chelsea’s Conor Gallagher for his match-winning goal today against Crystal Palace, adding that he’s a perfect fit for Graham Potter.
Gallagher scored his first ever senior goal for Chelsea on the weekend during the 2-1 victory away to Crystal Palace.
The midfielder came on as a substitute to score a late winner, which was an outrageous finish from outside of the box that he bent into the top corner. Even club legend John Terry was stunned on Twitter by the quality of the goal.
Potter has now got his first win under his belt as Chelsea boss during his first Premier League match, so will now look to take that momentum into Wednesday night’s important Champions League tie against AC Milan.

Stephen Warnock praised Conor Gallagher
Warnock thinks that Chelsea’s box-to-box midfielder is someone that does suit the club’s new manager.
“Conor Gallagher has been frustrated at Chelsea this season but the change with Graham Potter has probably been good for him, because that’s his type of player, but what a beautiful finish,” Warnock told BBC Radio 5 Live (4:59pm, 1 October).
It seems like Gallagher will get the opportunity to play as a more advanced midfielder under Potter, which is something that can work superbly well for him.
He proved during his season-long loan at Palace last year that he’s an expressive player that wants to attack and score goals.
It seems a no-brainer for Potter to release the shackles and let the exciting youngster bring his quality to the side.

This Chelsea side have got a long way to go with their performances, but there’s positive early signs during the new managerial reign.
Potter will be working out his preferred system and combination in the coming weeks, with plenty of matches ahead to try out different ideas.
It will be interesting to see what a determined Gallagher can do when he returns to the starting XI.
