Jamie O’Hara admitted he is worried that Chelsea would be able to sign Tottenham Hotspur ace Harry Kane because of Mauricio Pochettino’s influence.
At this point, it is a general consensus that Chelsea need a reliable goalscorer, preferably a number nine, to get back to competing for trophies.
There is an obvious reason why Chelsea sit 12th in the Premier League table despite conceding the third-fewest goals in the competition: their abysmal goalscoring record.
The Blues are therefore expected to be in the market for a new striker.
There are options overseas, but someone with Premier League experience would only help this newly-assembled Chelsea side start next season strongly.
Kane is arguably the most consistent goalscorer in the league in the last few years, but very few, if any, would expect him to join Chelsea for obvious reasons.
However, O’Hara believes Pochettino’s expected Chelsea arrival could change the situation.

“I think he’s going to be on his way out eventually — the man’s a world-class player,” O’Hara told talkSPORT when speaking about Kane’s future at Tottenham.
“He’s got a year left on his contract.
“The biggest thing I’m worried about is Chelsea.
“Because Todd Boehly has got money to burn, he’ll throw anything at it.
“I think he’s bringing in Pochettino because Pochettino believes he can get Kane out of Tottenham.
“We’ve all said, ‘There’s no way he’s going to Chelsea’, but his family doesn’t want to move from London — he’s settled in London.
“Chelsea will happily pay £150million to Daniel Levy if they can get Kane.
“I think Pochettino’s going to be on the phone with him in the summer.”
Paying that much for a player who will turn 30 this July would be excessive, but a player of Kane’s calibre could arguably transform this Chelsea team into challengers instantly.
In addition to that, even for such an exorbitant figure, it still seems unlikely that Levy would allow Kane to join their London rivals.
The England international has scored 25 goals in the Premier League this term, second only to Manchester City’s Erling Haaland on the top-scorer table.
