Ally McCoist claims that now is the “perfect time” for Ruben Loftus-Cheek to leave Chelsea.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who’s been with the Blues since his academy days, may soon be closing the curtains on his Chelsea career.
The 27-year-old midfielder has always been highly thought of around at Stamford Bridge and played 33 games last season. Unfortunately, we’ve never seen the Englishman kick on and become the player most expected.
Journalist Fabrizio Romano has claimed on Twitter this week that AC Milan are close to securing a deal to sign Loftus-Cheek this summer.
It looks like we could soon see him plying his trade in the Serie A, and he should be encouraged by the fact that several English players have done well in Italy in recent years.

TalkSPORT pundit McCoist believes that Loftus-Cheek may be leaving Chelsea at exactly the right time.
He’s explained that he’s a huge admirer of the central midfielder, who could benefit from a change of scenery and switch to the San Siro.
When discussing Loftus-Cheek’s rumoured move to AC Milan, McCoist told talkSPORT: “It’s the perfect time for him. Potentially, he still has the peak of his career in terms of fitness to go.
“I really like him, but I just want a little bit more. I think he’s a terrific player. He’s got all the attributes…
“Maybe the change of club and the move will do him well.”

Loftus-Cheek’s versatility certainly didn’t come in handy last season, but we agree that it’s best for all parties if he moves this summer.
In our view, the Blues midfielder can go to the Italian top division and make his mark.
He’s a real powerhouse on the field when he’s fit and firing, so could bring something extra to Milan in the centre of the park.
