Jamie Carragher reacted on Twitter tonight to a dramatic Chelsea debut from Joao Felix in the 2-1 defeat against Fulham.
Felix, who only joined Chelsea yesterday on a short-term loan from Atletico Madrid, was thrown straight into the action at Craven Cottage.
The 23-year-old attacker looked the greatest goal threat for the Blues during the first-half, forcing some saves from the opposition goalkeeper.
However, his debut in English football will ultimately be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
Felix was shown a straight red card just short of the hour mark for his lunge on Fulham’s Kenny Tete.

Joao Felix debut
Carragher uploaded a message on social media about Felix’s debut in Chelsea colours.
He suggested the Portuguese talent was the best individual on the pitch up until his early exit, which will see him miss three games now.
“Felix & Chelsea can’t complain with the red card, but up until that point he’d been the best player on the pitch!” Carragher wrote on Twitter.
The fact that Felix will be sidelined for the next few games is a crushing blow, especially when he was looking so bright.
It looks like the on-loan star can help the team’s creative issue in the final third of the pitch, but the team will need to get by without him in the immediate fixtures.

The nightmare continues
It was yet another defeat for Chelsea in the league, this time losing to Fulham for the first time since 2006.
Willian, who didn’t really celebrate against his old club, put the hosts ahead in the first-half with his deflected shot.
Kalidou Koulibaly’s goal at the start of the second period levelled it up, but the Felix red card saw the momentum swing again.
Carlos Vinicius, who played as Fulham’s striker in the absence of the suspended Aleksandar Mitrovic, scored a winning goal with his header in the 73rd minute.
Next, Chelsea host Crystal Palace this Sunday in the league.
