Owen Hargreaves believes that Napoli’s Victor Osimhen will be the next player to make a £100million-plus move to the Premier League.

Osimhen, who is having a superb season, is a talented striker linked with Chelsea.

90min report that Graham Potter’s Blues side have actually made the 24-year-old their main striker target for 2023.

Osimhen has been in brilliant form this campaign, scoring 20 goals in 24 games across all competitions so far. This includes a goal in Napoli’s 2-0 win last night over Eintracht Frankfurt in the Champions League knockouts.

BT Sport pundit Hargreaves has raved about the quality of Napoli’s dominant centre-forward.

“He’s probably the next £100million player that will come over to the Premier League. You think about Manchester United or Chelsea. A lot of teams would be desperate to have this guy,” Hargreaves told BT Sport.

“He has everything. He’s got size. He’s got speed. He’s got strength.

“I think any manager would be desperate to have this guy because he gives you everything.”

Chelsea coughed up a gigantic £106.8million in January to sign Enzo Fernandez from Benfica. In addition, Manchester City paid Aston Villa £100million to sign Jack Grealish in 2021.

They’re the only incoming signings at Premier League clubs to date to break that £100m barrier, but we expect to see plenty more in years to come due to the current transfer market.

Osimhen turned 24 in December and should have his peak years ahead of him, so it seems a fair prediction that Napoli will sell him for £100million-plus.
