Rob Green claims that Chelsea star Reece James is going to be even better when Blues target Wesley Fofana slots into the same line-up alongside him at Stamford Bridge.
It’s one of the worst kept secrets in football that Leicester defender Fofana is on the verge of joining Chelsea this summer.
The two Premier League clubs are yet to officially announce the transfer, but Fofana responded on Twitter to a farewell message from Leicester fan Gary Lineker over the weekend.
According to The Athletic, the 21-year-old centre-back is about to undergo a medical ahead of his move to West London.

James even better alongside Fofana
BBC pundit and former Chelsea player Green thinks that the imminent arrival of Fofana is great news for a current Blues star.
He suggests the arrival of Fofana to play in a back three will allow 22-year-old James to play in his preferred right wing-back position.
“They will get a great player. He immediately ticks the boxes and is also one of the future,” Green told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“Reece James’ quality is on the ball,” added Green. “Fofana ticks a box for the centre-half position but also strengthens elsewhere as James can go forward.”

Super James
James looks head and shoulders above a lot of his Chelsea teammates in the opening weeks of the league season, so getting him regularly playing as a wing-back should be a priority.
The versatile English defender has done well covering at centre-back, but hopefully Thomas Tuchel can start to find some consistency with his line-up.
Let’s hope a fully fit James can focus on smashing in goals and assists from wing-back.
