Former Blue Rob Green praised Hakim Ziyech’s left-footed strike which helped Chelsea secure a 2-0 FA Cup quarter-final win over Middlesbrough on Saturday.
It was another comfortable win for the visitors thanks to Romelu Lukaku and Ziyech’s goals in the first half.
Lukaku’s opener was a brilliant team goal which showcased Chelsea’s ability to build from the back.
Ziyech’s goal, however, was mostly his striking ability.
While Boro goalkeeper’s poor positioning might have played a part, Green was still full of praise for the Morocco international’s striking technique.
“Hakim Ziyech has got wand of a left foot, and it’s a brilliant strike,” the former Chelsea goalkeeper told BBC Radio 5 Live.
“It looks like Joe Lumley’s got caught out by the swerve, the dip, but actually it’s a brilliant strike because it goes to his left and fires back towards the far corner.
“It’s out of nothing. Chelsea managed to play through that press and got it perfectly right.”

Interestingly, it was also Ziyech’s only shot in the game, although he still created three key passes before being substituted off in the second half.
This is Chelsea’s last game before the international break.
Thomas Tuchel’s men will be back in action on 2 April as they host Brentford at Stamford Bridge before facing Real Madrid at home for the Champions League quarter-final first leg match the following week.
