Paul Merson was left completely amazed by the goal from Kai Havertz in Chelsea’s 3-1 win against Leicester City.
The Blues continued their recent form on Saturday afternoon by beating Leicester at the King Power Stadium, which earned them their third straight win across all competitions.
Ben Chilwell and Mateo Kovacic were both on the scoresheet for the visitors today, either side of a stunner from Havertz.

Havertz, with his eighth goal of the season, netted a memorable strike at Leicester. The timing was very important on the stroke of half-time to put his team 2-1 in front, too.
The 23-year-old forward produced a delicate volley to chip goalkeeper Danny Ward. It was a stunning through ball over the top from Enzo Fernandez to assist the goal.
“What a goal! Kai Havertz has just got an unbelievable goal of the highest level,” Merson told Sky Sports, as quoted by Football Daily.
“The ball has come to Fernandez; Fernandez has scooped the ball over the top to Havertz… and he just lobs it over the keeper. Bergkamp-eqsue for Holland against England many years ago.”

It’s been quite a few days for Havertz, who recently scored the goal against Borussia Dortmund that put Chelsea into the Champions League quarter-finals.
He’s now followed that up with an exquisite finish in a league victory that earns Graham Potter’s team a well-deserved three points.
Speaking earlier this week, Potter has been extremely complimentary of Havertz, describing him as “a top player.”
The left-footed attacker will start to receive the same love from supporters as the manager if he can just keep this momentum up.
