Chelsea’s Raheem Sterling has never scored a goal against Manchester United in his entire senior career.
Yes, remarkably, that statistic is true.
The English attacker has played 23 times against Man United during his career, which is the most he’s faced a single opponent.
However, the winger has zero goals in 23 games. He’s only got two assists during that time, too.
Sterling has scored a very impressive 158 club career goals to date as he enters his prime years, so this anomaly against Man United stands out like a sore thumb.

Sterling never scored against Manchester United
Chelsea host Man United tomorrow at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League, so let’s see if Sterling can create his own bit of history by getting on the scoresheet.
There’s no doubt that this kind of record is the type that will stick with a player in their mind.
In fairness, the majority of his contests against Man United would have been in the high intensity Manchester derby from his time in Manchester City colours. Also, he will have played against them when he was at rivals Liverpool as a youngster.
There are just some odd patterns that emerge in football, but perhaps now Sterling is in a Chelsea shirt, he can break this Man United curse that’s over him.

Sterling started on the bench during the midweek 0-0 draw with Brentford, so most fans expect to see Graham Potter recall him to the starting line-up on the weekend.
The forward has four goals and two assists in 13 matches so far this campaign, but he’s perhaps dropped off a little bit from his high standards.
For certain, his overall impact since his summer arrival from Man City has still been a positive one.
Kai Havertz previously explained it’s great to have the England international as a teammate at Stamford Bridge.
