How many trophies have Chelsea won?
A lot, is the brief answer. Chelsea have consistently churned out trophy after trophy in the wake of Roman Abramovich’s takeover in 2003.
But even before the influx of his Russian finances, the Blues cabinet had a few shiny items inside of it.
So, the question is: how many articles of silverware have Chelsea men’s first team secured across their illustrious history? Let’s find out.
29
29 is the total number of titles that are stored in the vaults of Stamford Bridge currently.
RONALDO NEEDS TO STOP WHINING.
Perhaps the most famous is the Champions League conquest of 2012, an iconic moment that Thomas Tuchel’s side are looking to repeat this season.
FA Cup
Almost a quarter of those 29 honours are made up of FA Cup victories.
Eight times have Chelsea lifted the worlds oldest cup competition, the first in 1970 and the most recent in 2018.
Frank Lampard came close to grabbing the ninth in last year’s final but was beaten at the last hurdle by Arsenal.
Premier League
The Premier League has been draped in blue ribbons on five separate occasions.
Antonio Conte master minded the latest English top flight triumph, something that Jose Mourinho managed on three occasions and Carlo Ancelotti once.
However, the Blues had to wait 50 years before winning a second league title.
Their maiden trophy of any kind came in 1955 and it wasn’t until 2005 that they repeated this trick.
1955 was also the year of Chelsea’s first Community Shield success, which would come home to South West London for another three trips.
Europe
Away from the capital, twice have the Blues been crowned Europa League champions and victors of the UEFA Cup Winners Cup.
They also won the UEFA Super Cup in 1998 against Real Madrid. Fast forward two decades and two clubs are preparing to do battle in this addition of the Champions League.
Throw in another five League Cups and Chelsea’s silverware CV is brimming with glory.
