Chelsea really need to secure all three points against Ajax in the Champions League to bolster their position in the competition, and would love a new hero to step up and provide the magic.
The Blues have one win and one defeat in the competition so far, however failed to set the world alight when they hosted Jose Mourinho’s Benfica last time out.
Enzo Maresca will not be able to call upon a number of injured stars, with Joao Pedro also having to miss out after his red card in the previous European game.

When Victor Moses stepped up to become Chelsea’s Champions League hero
Chelsea are by no means in a precarious position going into this game, however they could take inspiration from one of their group stage wins from over a decade ago when Victor Moses was the unlikely hero.
Just months after winning the Champions League in 2012, they found themselves in a tough position in the following season’s group stages when Shakhtar Donetsk came to Stamford Bridge.
The Blues were missing John Terry and Ashley Cole for the game, and looked destined to drop more points when the game was level at 2-2 with moments to play.
This was when Moses, who had joined the club for £9m that summer, stepped up with his first goal for the club to secure a thrilling victory.
It wouldn’t be until Antonio Conte took over as manager in 2016 when the Blues would see the best from Moses, however Maresca would love one of his new signings to make their mark in the upcoming Champions League game.

New Chelsea signings yet to make their mark
The Blues brought in plenty of new signings over the summer, with Joao Pedro and Estevao Willian in particular becoming strong contenders for minutes instantly.
However, the likes of Jamie Gittens and Alejandro Garnacho are still waiting to introduce themselves to the Stamford Bridge faithful following big money moves during the transfer window.
Gittens boasts a strong record in the Champions League for Borussia Dortmund, scoring four times in this competition last season while the Blues languished in the Conference League.
Both could be in line for a start as the Blues continue to look for a creative spark in the absence of Cole Palmer.
