It has been a while since Chelsea last beat Manchester City at the Etihad.
The Blues travel there on Sunday with an awful record, losing 3-1 in the same fixture last season.
It could be a really tough afternoon, especially with Moises Caicedo set to miss the game because of suspension.

How can Chelsea end their terrible away record against Manchester City?
Chelsea will at least not have to face Sergio Aguero, who often tormented them in the past. However, in Erling Haaland, City may have an even better striker.

Sergio Aguero’s failed panenka against Edouard Mendy
While Aguero often got the better of Chelsea, it was Edouard Mendy and the Blues who had the last laugh when they met City in May 2021.
That was the last time Chelsea beat City in the Premier League, with Aguero actually being the villain that day. The former striker had the chance to put the Citizens 2-0 up on the afternoon from the penalty spot, but he attempted a panenka kick that Mendy easily saved.
Following that moment of humiliation, Chelsea eventually went on to equalise through Hakim Ziyech before Marcos Alonso scored the winner in stoppage time.
The same month, Chelsea followed up that 2-1 win against their English rivals with a 1-0 victory over them in the Champions League final.
Both nights, Aguero would have had nightmares. They are undoubtedly two matches that the City legend will want to have wiped from his memory.

Sergio Aguero’s ridiculous record against Chelsea
Aguero has also given plenty of Chelsea defenders their own nightmares. His record against the Blues as both a City and Atletico Madrid player is out of this world.
Sergio Aguero’s record against Chelsea is nuts! 😱
Who are you taking in their prime, Aguero or Didier Drogba?
Chelsea would have been glad to see the back of him when he left England in 2021. But again, they now have another City threat to worry about: Haaland.
He is slowly becoming their new tormentor, netting four times in six games against them. This Sunday, that tally could easily increase, especially if Chelsea defend as they did in their 2-2 draw with Bournemouth.
