One of Eden Hazard’s best ever performances came in a game where the Chelsea legend did not even score.

In his prime, Hazard was a goalscoring winger. For example, he finished his Chelsea career with 110 goals to his name.

In one match for Belgium, the 34-year-old did not manage to find the back of the net, yet he was still able to cause absolute havoc against his opponents that day.

For Tottenham Hotspur star James Maddison, Hazard is “one of the best players” to step foot in the Premier League.

While Hazard never scored in Belgium’s famous 2-1 win against Brazil in the quarter-finals of the 2018 World Cup, he was still among the top performers on the pitch.

They had to be, as the Chelsea legend managed to complete all 10 of the dribbles he attempted, according to Sofascore, giving him a 100% dribble success rate.

Hazard has always been a great dribbler and a wide man terrific at beating his full-back. But completing 10 dribbles in a single game is something else.

Today, it is a performance that Chelsea fans still mention, which is amazing given that he never scored a goal. It shows just how incredible that display was.

Hazard once spoke to Gabriel Agbonlahor during the middle of the game, telling the ex-Aston Villa striker that he just wants to have fun on the pitch. He certainly did that evening.

Eden Hazard’s international record

Hazard will go down as one of Belgium’s greatest ever footballers. He earned 126 caps while playing for them and managed to score 33 goals.

It is a shame that the former Real Madrid player was never able to win anything with them.

The Belgium team he played in had a lot of quality, but there were always question marks about the man in the dugout, while the likes of Germany and France usually had even more talent than the Red Devils.
