For any new signing at Chelsea, the best way to win over supporters is by scoring your first goal for the club, which is exactly what Jamie Gittens just did.
Of course, Chelsea’s history is filled with different players introducing themselves to the Stamford Bridge faithful with memorable goals.
We’ve taken a look at five of the best ever first goals from Chelsea players…

Jamie Gittens vs Wolverhampton Wanderers (29/09/2025)
On Wednesday night, Blues winger Jamie Gittens, 21, got on the scoresheet for the first time at his new club. It was a remarkable way to chalk up his first Chelsea goal, too.
The attacker scored a stunning half-volley during the 4-3 away victory at Wolves in the Carabao Cup. After allowing the ball to bounce, he connected perfectly with the outside of his boot, with his shot clipping the post on its way in.
Gittens expressed his delight about opening his Chelsea account, which will hopefully be a springboard for him now to kick on and thrive for Enzo Maresca’s side.
Joao Pedro vs Fluminense (08/07/2025)
Another current Chelsea player, Joao Pedro, also features in this list.
Back in the summer, the versatile attacker hit the ground running at the Club World Cup, scoring his first two goals for the club in a 2-0 win against Fluminense.
His first goal in Chelsea colours was a stunning effort from the edge of the box that he whipped into the far corner. He then scored a stunning second in the same contest, driving in a powerful shot that went in off the crossbar.
Afterwards, Gareth Bale hailed Chelsea star Pedro for his masterclass against Fluminense.

Willian vs Norwich City (06/10/2013)
In 339 Chelsea appearances, Willian scored 63 goals and provided 58 assists. His first goal for the Blues actually came in a 3-1 Premier League win away to Norwich City.
The wide man whipped a precise finish into the top corner on his weaker left foot from just inside the penalty area.
Oscar vs Juventus (19/09/2012)
Without a doubt, Oscar belongs here because what he did in a 2-2 draw against Juventus in the Champions League.
In fairness, his first Chelsea goal was a strike from distance that went in with the help of a deflection. Later on, he scored one of the best goals we’ve seen at Stamford Bridge.
Oscar’s second goal against Juventus came after a smart turn on the edge of the box to get away from Andrea Pirlo, which was followed by a sublime finish into the top corner past goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon.

Deco vs Portsmouth (17/08/2008)
Deco, who spent two years at the Bridge between 2008 and 2010, was one of the top creative midfielders of his generation.
His first goal in Chelsea colours came on the opening day of the 2008-09 Premier League season during a 4-0 thrashing of Portsmouth at home. He beat goalkeeper David James from 30 yards with an effort that swerved and dipped into the net.
