£130m player hangs round with three Chelsea players in training, after claims Potter wants to sign him
Chelsea target Declan Rice can be spotted hanging round with three Blues players during England’s training footage.
England have uploaded a video on Twitter of preparation for the next World Cup game against the United States this Friday, which does include Rice messing around with the Blues trio Mason Mount, Raheem Sterling and Conor Gallagher away from the rest of the squad.
The clip (13 minutes into the video) shows the quartet
There’s not a great deal you can read into this, especially given how well England usually do to rip up club loyalty, but Chelsea supporters may get particularly excited about the sight.
Chelsea target Declan Rice
West Ham and England midfielder Rice, 23, is a player strongly linked with a potential switch to Stamford Bridge.
According to the Telegraph, Graham Potter’s Chelsea are expected to hold talks over Rice in the coming weeks. He could reportedly cost as much as £130million to sign, though.
The all-action midfielder is a talisman for Premier League side West Ham, who was appointed their full-time captain this season.
He’s tasted European football with the Hammers at the London Stadium, but it does seem wrong a player with his ability hasn’t yet made his Champions League debut.
In our view, Rice would be a dream signing to add to the Blues midfield.
It looks like he’ll only increase his reputation in this World Cup in an England shirt, where he’s supported by some key Chelsea players.
