Kepa Arrizabalaga was said to be very unhappy by what Chelsea staff did last week after Robert Sanchez arrived at Stamford Bridge.
That is according to the Daily Mail’s Transfer Confidential email (sign-up link here).
So, what did Chelsea staff do to annoy Kepa Arrizabalaga? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, it is said that the 28-year-old was left unimpressed when Chelsea staff gave Sanchez a highly enthusiastic greeting last week, after his £25m move from Brighton was sealed.
The Spain international reunited with Ben Roberts – somehow he respects hugely – at Cobham after being forced out of Brighton by Roberto De Zerbi.
In fact – according to the Daily Mail – Sanchez cried when Chelsea initially pinched Roberts from Brighton back in 2022.
That may go some way to explaining why the welcoming party was significant enough to annoy Kepa.

Nevertheless, it comes across as extremely childish for Kepa to get upset about a bit of competition arriving at Stamford Bridge, while it also says a lot about his character if the update is true.
Kepa leaves No.1 spot for Sanchez at Chelsea
Kepa was clearly in no mood to compete for the No.1 spot once again in west London, as he is now on his way to Real Madrid.
Carlo Ancelotti found himself unexpectedly searching for a new goalkeeper this week after Thibaut Courtois suffered a serious knee injury.
Now – according to the Guardian – Real Madrid have decided to bring Kepa back to Spain as a replacement for the Belgium international on a straight loan deal, which has now officially been announced.

Interestingly, the Spaniard actually rejected Thomas Tuchel and Bayern Munich in favour of Ancelotti’s side.
Be sure to keep an eye out for Kepa in Madrid, as some strong performances could convince the Spanish giants to sign him permanently next summer.
