Chelsea defender Benoit Badiashile is not thinking about leaving Stamford Bridge.

According to football.london, Benoit Badiashile is attracting plenty of interest.

However, the same outlet has claimed that the centre-back is focusing on Chelsea and has no intention of leaving west London at this moment in time.

Badiashile is yet to start a game in the Premier League this season, but he has been injured.

The Frenchman has recently been linked with a move to AC Milan, who already signed Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Christian Pulisic from Chelsea in the last transfer window.

Should Benoit Badiashile stay at Chelsea?

Yes, he should. Competition for a place is obviously fierce, but if the former AS Monaco man waits, he should get a chance later down the line. It will then be up to him to take it.

Thiago Silva is 39 and now that Badiashile is fit again, you would expect Mauricio Pochettino to start resting the Brazilian, especially during the festive period when games come thick and fast.

It is also important to remember that Silva’s contract expires next year, while Levi Colwill is currently playing at left-back. It means Badiashile could easily end up becoming Chelsea’s first-choice left centre-back for the 2024/25 season.

If things do not transpire that way, then maybe the France international should consider his futre ahead of the 2025 January transfer window.

But as for now, he would be wise to bide his time and just see how things go. These days, a fresh injury always looks to be around the corner for Chelsea. If anything happens to Silva or Axel Disasi, Badiashile could quickly find himself in Pochettino’s starting XI.

A move to another European giant like Milan may sound tempting to Badiashile, who cost Chelsea £35m (BBC Sport), if he has seen little game time by January. But given the uncertainty around Silva’s future, we think it is worth him just remaining a bit patient.
