Southampton right-back Tino Livramento has sent a wordless message to Chelsea’s Levi Colwill on Instagram amid rumours of a potential return to Stamford Bridge.

Tino Livramento, who spent his youth career developing in Chelsea’s academy, is linked with a move back to West London.

The Daily Mail claimed this week that Chelsea have held talks with Southampton about re-signing Livramento.

They added that the Saints value the defender at £38million. In addition, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have looked into the idea of signing the 20-year-old and allowing him to immediately return to St Mary’s on loan.

Levi Colwill, who looks like being another gem from the academy at Cobham, is currently impressing with England at the Under-21s European Championship.

The 20-year-old’s celebrated with an Instagram post the Young Lions qualifying for this weekend’s tournament final against Spain.

Interestingly, Livramento has sent the wordless reaction of a love heart emoji in the comment section.

It’s a timely reminder that Livramento has plenty of connections at Chelsea, playing in a successful Blues youth team that also featured centre-back Colwill a few years ago.

So, could he really be tempted to rejoin us?

Southampton are currently preparing for the 2023/24 season in the Championship, which is not the division a player of Livramento’s quality should be in.

However, the youngster nearly missed the whole of last season with a serious injury, so perhaps rebuilding his strength and form in the second tier isn’t the worst idea.

We don’t see too much logic behind pushing hard to sign Livramento due to our current options at right-back. As it stands, the Blues have Reece James and Malo Gusto fighting for the full-back spot.
