Bradley Barcola has now rejected Chelsea – the Lyon No.26 only wants to join PSG this summer.

That is according to 90min.

So, what is the latest on Chelsea target Bradley Barcola? Let’s take a look…

What’s the story?

Well – according to Foot Mercato – Chelsea stepped up their pursuit of the French wonderkid after Michael Olise decided to stay at Crystal Palace.

The French news outlet added that Lyon want €50m (£43m) for Barcola as Chelsea held talks.

Now – however – the Lyon prodigy has decided to reject the Blues for PSG.

90min believe Barcola only wants to join Luis Enrique’s side this summer, which has upset Lyon – who would prefer not to sell to a domestic rival.

Nevertheless, negotiations are ongoing between both sides, and there is said to be optimism that a deal will be done soon.

Chelsea were also keen to sign Jeremy Doku from Rennes, although the Belgium international has now joined Manchester City in a £55m deal.

Chelsea could sign Bradley Barcola’s teammate

Barcola is not the only Lyon wonderkid Chelsea admire.

90min add that the Blues like Lyon No.18 Rayan Cherki – a player who once said he would join Chelsea over Manchester United.

In fact, respected journalist Dean Jones even claimed that Chelsea have Cherki ahead of Barcola on their shortlist, so perhaps the 20-year-old’s decision to join PSG is not that much of a blow.

Mauricio Pochettino admitted after Friday’s 3-0 win over Luton Town that he would like a versatile forward who can play all across the frontline.

Cherki is capable of doing exactly that, so the France Under-21 international could well be someone the Blues make a move to sign next week.

Be sure to keep an eye on developments at Chelsea, as we expect the Blues to be busy between now and Friday’s transfer deadline.
