Lee Hendrie has hailed Chelsea target Adrien Rabiot for his performances at the World Cup so far.

Rabiot, who plays his club football with Juventus, has stood out as an important player for France in the World Cup tournament.

The busy central midfielder has played in all four of the French games in Qatar, so it won’t be a surprise to see him lining up again when they face England tonight in the quarter-finals.

Aged 27, the left-footer is entering his prime years and looks in a great moment. He’s had dips of form throughout his career so far, but is so dominant and powerful when he’s in the mood.

Sky Sports pundit Hendrie has given huge praise to Rabiot when discussing tonight’s World Cup showdown between England and France.

“Rabiot is a fantastic player, he really is. I’ve seen him play different areas in the midfield. He’s been instrumental in their play,” Hendrie told Sky Sports.

According to Calciomercato, Chelsea are drawn to Rabiot’s profile and are willing to match his wage demands in order to try sign him.

His club career has been spent at Toulouse, Paris Saint-Germain and Juventus so far. It would be great for English audiences to watch him in the Premier League, though. It’s worth noting he recently admitted playing in the Premier League does appeal to him.

This is a transfer for Chelsea that could be a good one, but it would come with an element of risk given his history.

There’s the obvious contract situations of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho currently looming over Stamford Bridge, so it’s a no-brainer to at least be searching for potential replacements for both.
