Some Chelsea supporters on social media demanded Roman Abramovich respond suitably to Manchester City’s recent transfer antics.
According to The Athletic, City are preparing a £100m bid for Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish.
They are also attempting to lure Harry Kane from Tottenham Hotspur in the same window.

Landing both Englishmen would make Pep Guardiola’s troop arguably the finest battalion in world football.
Blues fans were fearful of being left behind by their Premier League rival and ordered Abramovich to push harder for their top target, Erling Haaland.
Here is how they reacted on Twitter:
With City willing to spend over £200m on Grealish and Kane, Chelsea followers could see no reason why they can’t throw slightly less at Haaland.
Borussia Dortmund’s reported asking price will be upwards of £150m (Telegraph) for their 20-year-old striker.
That is a seismic fee that doesn’t even cover his mammoth wage demands, which could rise to £300,00-per-week (Guardian).
But, if Chelsea are serious in their challenge for City’s crown, they will have to spend similar money to the Manchester club.
Abramovich is not strapped for cash, however throwing all his eggs at one player would be costly.

One way around this economic pitfall is to move on several members of Thomas Tuchel’s squad to raise funds.
The Blues owner already has £25m (Daily Mail) in his pocket, following the sale of Fikayo Tomori to AC Milan.
Just another £125m to go towards the Haaland fund.
