Chelsea now face competition from PSG in the race to sign Bradley Barcola from Lyon – as the Blues attempt to find a Michael Olise alternative.
That is according to Football London.
So, what is the latest on Chelsea and Bradley Barcola? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well – according to Foot Mercato – Chelsea decided to step up their pursuit of the French wonderkid after Olise chose to sign a new contract at Crystal Palace.
The French news outlet claimed that Chelsea are holding advanced talks with Lyon over a deal for Barcola, and the Ligue 1 outfit value the 20-year-old at €50m (£43m).
Now – however – PSG pose a threat to the Blues.

Football London believe the Parisians are also speaking to Lyon about Barcola, as they aim to rebuild following the departures of Neymar and Lionel Messi.
The Lyon No.26 is arguably one of the best prospects on the planet, and boasts the potential to become a world class player one day.
Chelsea could use strong relationship with Lyon to sign Barcola ahead of PSG
Earlier this summer, Chelsea were exploring a deal to sign Rayan Cherki from Lyon as well, where Football London claimed that the Blues boast a healthy relationship with the French side.
That was mainly created when the two sides did business over a deal for Malo Gusto back in January.
The Frenchman moved to Stamford Bridge in a £26.3m transfer.

It is unclear what relationship Lyon and PSG share, although Chelsea must be quick to use their strong connection to the French giants as the Blues aim to snap up Barcola.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as PSG pose a genuine threat to Chelsea – Luis Enrique’s side can offer targets UEFA Champions League football, and also a high chance of a Ligue 1 title.
