Journalist Nizaar Kinsella has claimed that Swansea City have agreed a deal with Chelsea to sign Bashir Humphreys on loan.

He took to Twitter to state that things have been sorted between the two sides to see him further his progression in the Championship this season.

Humphreys was one of the younger players who started for Chelsea in the League Cup on Wednesday night.

He featured in the backline against AFC Wimbledon, where he put on another good performance when handed the chance.

These chances came thick and fast in the pre-season tour of the United States, where he looked very comfortable up against some very strong sides.

A loan has always looked the best thing that could happen for the player this season, as he looks to get more regular minutes.

The Championship is a good league for him to do so too. Levi Colwill recently enjoyed good minutes when he was on loan at Huddersfield.

Fast forward to now, he has started every Premier League game this season. Humphreys will be hoping for a similar outcome.
