Chelsea are now close to selling Callum Hudson-Odoi. However, the Blues must agree an exit package before Nottingham Forest can confirm the deal.
That is according to Jacob Steinberg of the Guardian.
So, what is the latest on Callum Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea? Let’s take a look…
What’s the story?
Well, the £120,000-a-week man has seen his career stagnate in recent years, and he is now departing Stamford Bridge for a new chapter at the City Ground.

However, Chelsea still need to agree an exit package – which presumably means compensation – with the England international.
Chelsea do not seem to be getting a fee for Callum Hudson-Odoi
There has been no official line regarding the fee Nottingham Forest are paying, and the fact Chelsea now need to agree an exit package suggests it may be a free transfer.
Hudson-Odoi has 12 months remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge, so the mention of compensation from Steinberg suggests Chelsea are about to rip that deal up and pay him a large chunk of cash in bulk.

The journalist wrote on Twitter: “Callum Hudson-Odoi’s move to Nottingham Forest is almost done but Chelsea need to agree an exit package with the winger. A huge shame that he’s moving on. So much excitement when he broke through before the injury in 2019.”
Hudson-Odoi made 21 appearances on loan at Bayer Leverkusen last season, where he scored just one goal and also provided one assist.
Hopefully, the Chelsea academy graduate can reignite his career under Steve Cooper once Nottingham Forest officially announce his arrival.
