Armando Broja’s mother, Blerina, has had her say about the transfer rumours surrounding the Chelsea loanee as she highlighted how game time will be a key factor.

The 20-year-old is having an impressive loan spell at Southampton this season, having already bagged six goals in the Premier League (eight in all competitions) so far.

Recent reports suggest that his meteoric rise has attracted quite a lot of attention, including from Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund.

Southampton manager Ralph Hasenhuttl has also expressed his interest in signing the young striker permanently, which is hardly a surprise.

From Chelsea fans’ perspective, it would be ridiculous for the club to even consider selling Broja.

He is, after all, a possible long-term solution to Chelsea’s striking problems.

Ideally, Broja is to return to Chelsea in the summer and be an attacking option for Tuchel next season.

However, based on his mother’s recent comments, the Blues academy graduate could opt to not take up a spot in Tuchel’s squad in order to play regularly elsewhere.

“We are used to seeing him being on the pitch [and not on the bench],” Blerina told Albanian outlet Gazeta Tema.

“I think it’s very important that wherever Armando goes, he plays on the pitch. For a player, this is very important.

“Therefore, any decision that Armando makes will also be our decision as a family.

“At the moment, he’s doing very well. That’s what really matters.”

Obviously, Chelsea are in the driving seat as Broja just signed a five-year deal last summer.

Sending him to another club on loan is also always an option, in case Tuchel and the board agree that it will only benefit his development as well as the club.
