Fabrizio Romano has now claimed that Tottenham are considering a late move to sign Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah tonight.
He took to Twitter to state that the defender is also a target from the Blues as well as midfielder Conor Gallagher.
Chalobah is one of the first team players whose futures are not secure despite us entering the final few hours of the transfer window.
It has seemed numerous times that the defender would be on the move, with Bayern Munich seeming the favourites to bring him in on loan.
A loan at one stage looked the most likely outcome for the Englishman, even though the Blues were holding out for a fee of around £50m to sell him.
Spurs want Chalobah
However, with their transfer window closing early in Germany, it became clear a deal would not come to fruition.
Now, Romano has claimed that he still has interest from across the capital, with Spurs considering a bid.
He said: “Tottenham approach Chelsea to ask for Trevoh Chalobah on loan deal, no green light from Chelsea, difficult due to rival + formula of deal.
“Complicated deal while Forest still trying to make permanent deal happen for Chalobah but no green light player side.”
It remains to be seen if the Blues sanction a move for the defender this late in the window.
