Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko has arrived in Italy ahead of his proposed loan move to Napoli.
This would be the 26-year-old’s third loan spell since joining Chelsea in 2017.
Frank Lampard made it clear the midfielder isn’t in his plans but finding a new club for Bakayoko hasn’t been an easy task, especially in the current transfer climate.
However, according to a report from Sky Italia, Chelsea and Napoli have reached an agreement over Bakayoko’s season-long loan deal, with the Blues having to pay part of his salary.
Bakayoko himself has arrived in Naples after having his reported medical in Rome earlier.

From Chelsea’s perspective such a deal is far from ideal, particularly considering Bakayoko will only have one year left on his contract (until 2022) at the end of his loan deal.
A report from Goal mentioned two other potential destinations for Bakayoko – AC Milan and Paris Saint-Germain – but neither club could meet Chelsea’s demands.
Goal’s Chelsea correspondent Nizaar Kinsella said the proposed loan deal from Napoli contains no option to buy but Chelsea will get a £4.5 million loan fee.
However, it remains unlikely Chelsea will be able to recoup the £40m they paid Monaco for Bakayoko three years ago (Goal) next summer given his contract situation.
