Thomas Tuchel could be about to frustrate his former club Chelsea before the transfer window closes.
TalkSPORT reporter Alex Crook recently claimed that Chelsea are interested in signing Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo and that a centre-back could be the Blues’ only new arrival this month.
However, according to FootballTransfers, Bayern Munich and Tuchel have now identified Todibo as a target.
Clubs face having to pay a huge fee for the central defender if they want to sign him in the current transfer window.
As per journalist Ben Jacobs, Nice’s reluctance to sell Todibo means he could cost around €60m (£51.5m).

Bayern Munich interested in Jean-Clair Todibo
Bayern making Todibo a target is a potential blow for Chelsea. If it came down to deciding between the two sides, the Frenchman could easily end up snubbing the latter for the former.
Bayern are Bundesliga champions, enter the Champions League every year and are managed by an elite coach in Tuchel. It would be difficult to turn down a proposal from them.
On the other hand, Chelsea, who have not competed for the Premier League title in a while, are ninth in the table.
Bayern signing Todibo could actually open up a very good opportunity for Chelsea, though.
Sky Germany journalist Florian Plettenberg shared on X yesterday that Matthijs de Ligt leaving the Allianz Arena in the summer cannot be ruled out. The arrival of a new centre-back could push De Ligt even closer to the exit door and if so, that is one central defender Chelsea can target.
For now, Todibo looks to be one of their main centre-half targets at Stamford Bridge and he remains an option for the Blues as things stand. However, if Bayern do come knocking for the France international, then Chelsea should start to worry about missing out on him.
