Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell and former Blue Ross Barkley have both taken to Instagram to react to the news that Ruben Loftus-Cheek has officially left the club.
The English duo were both quick to wish their international colleague the best as he begins the next step of his journey at AC Milan in a post shared by the midfielder.
Supporters were greeted to a touching goodbye message from Loftus-Cheek after terms were agreed between both clubs.
He passed his medical without a hitch, a fate which did not meet Hakim Ziyech when he was looking to secure his move to Saudi Arabia.
Despite playing plenty of games last season for the Blues, it always looked as if the academy graduate was going to be on the move as they looked to trim numbers in the first team.

The England international played an important role for the club last season, as he filled a number of different roles when required off the back of an injury-hit campaign.
He saw himself on the right of defence numerous times, as they looked to try and fill the attacking void that was left when Reece James was injured.
Despite his versatility, he was one of the many names who have already made the move away from Stamford Bridge.
The club have been keen to bring money in before spending big this summer, with them having to pay plenty of money in order to strengthen a side that limbered to a 12th placed finish last season.
The outgoings have been headlined by Mason Mount and Kai Havertz’s departures to Manchester United and Arsenal respectively, with them on their own bringing in plenty of funds to spend this summer.
